FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Over 5,100 Supporters Rally to Revive Gas City Speedway as Movement Gains Momentum

Gas City, IN – March 2025 – The Save Gas City Speedway movement has surpassed 5,100 supporters, reinforcing the overwhelming community backing for reviving Indiana’s historic short-track venue. With passionate fans, local leaders, and members of the racing community voicing their support, the movement remains steadfast in its mission to ensure a functioning future for motorsports at Gas City I-69 Speedway.

Following discussions with Gas City Mayor Bill Rock Jr., it has been reaffirmed that the track’s future hinges on securing a buyer. While Save Gas City Speedway is committed to keeping the venue in the conversation, the movement is not in a position to speak on behalf of the current ownership regarding price, plans, or future intentions. Instead, efforts remain focused on gathering more information and exploring viable options for the track’s future.

Community & Racing Industry Support

The push to revitalize Gas City Speedway has received backing from:

Fans & Grassroots Racing Enthusiasts – Over 5,100 supporters have signed on, proving that the track holds a special place in the hearts of many.

Local Leaders & Businesses – Community stakeholders recognize the economic and cultural value of a functional Gas City Speedway.

Racing Professionals & Industry Voices – Current and former drivers, teams, and promoters have expressed optimism about the track’s potential role in the future of Midwest motorsports.

Spreading Awareness & Giving Back

To continue building awareness and keeping Gas City Speedway in the conversation, the movement has launched a daily “From the Vault” social media campaign, highlighting victory lane photos and historic moments from the track’s past.

Additionally, to thank supporters for their ongoing dedication, the movement is running a giveaway where fans can enter for a chance to win prizes by helping spread the word.

What’s Next?

With the unwavering momentum of its supporters, Save Gas City Speedway is focused on maintaining awareness, engaging potential stakeholders, and seeking sustainable models that align with motorsports and community development. While the movement itself is not a buyer, it remains committed to ensuring Gas City Speedway is seen as a viable opportunity for those who may step forward.
